Cheese Quiche Lorraine

Η ζύμη σε αυτή την πίτα είναι πολύ απλή και γρήγορη. Πρόκειται ουσιαστικά για τη ζύμη μιας αρμυρής τάρτας.


For dough

  • half cup greek strained yoghurt (110 g)
  • half cup melted butter or in room temperature (110 g)
  • 250 g to 270 g flour (mixture for bread in where i add one teaspoon baking powder)
  • 1 egg

For filling

  • 500 g cheese mixture (i usually use gouda, gruyere cheese, parmesan)
  • 250 g heavy cream or greek strained yoghurt
  • 1 egg


First we make the dough by combining all the ingredients.

The dough has to be soft enough to work with. Set aside for at least 20 minutes.

Butter a baking pan and slowly roll out the dough with your hands.

Make sure to press on the dough to help it stick to the sides of the pan.

In a bowl, mix the filling’s ingredients.
You can add bacon or ham cutted in to cubes (for extra taste).

Spread the mixture to the baking pan.
Bake at 180C degrees until golden.

Amazingly tasteful.
